Dr. Mazelis is a recipient of the 2022 Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence at Rutgers-Camden.

Most Fall semesters Dr. Mazelis teaches Introduction to Sociology (920:101, formerly 207) and Sociological Theory (920:325).

Most Spring semesters Dr. Mazelis teaches Inequality in the U.S. (formerly Social Stratification (920:332), and sometimes Urban Sociology (920:321) or Homelessness and Deep Poverty in the U.S. (920:350). At times these courses have a mandatory co-requisite representing a civic engagement component of the course, in which students engage in several sessions in the after school partnership program between Camden schools and the Rutgers-Camden Office of Civic Engagement, or at a homeless shelter or food bank or related program.

Please contact Dr. Mazelis if you would like more information about any of these courses.
